This is the story of a mosaic of savours and cultures — the journey of the young French-American chef Chris Salans from the high cuisine of Europe and the USA to the great natural abundance of Indonesia with all its mysterious scents, the story of his discoveries and the evolution of his own cuisine.
The Mozaic experience would not be complete without a well thought-out wine list. Chris Salans and his team of sommeliers have collected more than 150 varieties of wines, including some beautiful Grands Crus, to compile one of the most complete wine lists in Indonesia. Intelligent wine pairing is offered for all tasting menus for a complete gastronomic experience for the true lovers of discovery.
Mozaic Restaurant offers impeccable standards of service, an essential element in the Mozaic experience. Staff undergo months of training to deeply understand the cuisine, the wines, and the quality of hospitality that have become the hallmark of its reputation. Special dietary requirements are cheerfully accommodated by the chefs. The serving staff are discreet and good-natured, and are knowledgeable about the cuisine and the ingredients.
Catering to all pre-dinner whimsical desires, the Mozaic Lounge offers everything from fine lounging to a delightful venue for private cocktail parties, or a chic Ubud modern destination to gather with friends.
A handsome, air-conditioned building at the end of the garden, The Workshop is the venue of Mozaic’s cooking classes and its Private Dining venue.
Our Gazebo is the perfect setting for an exclusive private romantic dinner for two. Set in a quiet corner of the garden, the gazebo is draped with curtains, and lit with candles and fairy lights. The table is decorated with rose petals. We offer a bouquet of red roses as a gift of love.
Relive the story of Chris Salans as he first arrives in Bali and discovers the wonders of Balinese food and culture to such a point that he decides to settle here and open his culinary heaven
